So one of my very good friends gave me his father-in-laws favorite musky rod and reel as a gift. But I'm having trouble finding the name on the rod...it's kind of scratched off.
Anyone know who made this rod?
It's hexagon shaped and bamboo, an original pool cue type muskie rod. Looks to me like the name starts with Ebi and ends in a.?

Yes, I believe you are correct. After a little research on that brand name, it seems that it fits the time frame and descriptions.
Thanks alot for your help.

Love the reel pic. Pflueger Supreme. Started with that one and still have a couple.

I know nothing of the rod and reel, but it looks incredible. A great piece of fishing history

Thanks, I was speechless when my good friend handed it over to me. I knew that the Supreme was the reel to have back then.

Turns out that the gentleman, Norb Zielinski, that owned this rod and reel also owned the Pine Ridge Lodge near Stone Lake, Wisconsin for a bit, "back in the day."

It has history....I understand these things.
I'm lucky to have it now.

Great to see this piece of history ended up with someone who appreciates it. Fished with one of those reels decades ago. Think the older gentleman that lent it to me called it a "knuckle buster" as a way of teaching me to keep out of the way of the handle when it spun on the cast.
