Posts: 568 Location: Lake St Clair | My custom baits lately have been a mix between marabou and tinsel, this combo in the right color scheme looks awesome.

Posts: 371 Location: Dixon, IL | I use hair for years and few times I used shampoo to make hair softer! I like tinsel for action but sometime stuck with treble hook!

Posts: 354 Location: Vilas County, WI | Tinsel is easily #1 Marabou is a distant 2nd. Silicone I've had very limited success with so I've pretty much given up on it.

Posts: 499 Location: Northern Illinois | On my homemade baits I like tinsel for the combination on action and flash, but marabou on the front can trigger also. One thing I like about the tinsel is that it casts more easily into the wind. Bucktail for spinner baits in the weeds seems to work well too.
