Posts: 77 | Hi guys, I have the aforementioned reel, I bought it new but my g/f threw the book/box away. I noticed it has two brakes on it. I can't find anything online on how to adjust the left side brake. Thank you.

Posts: 77 | Thanks guys, I tried looking on the website for the manual but it was less than helpfull. The reel has the "normal" brake on the right side (right handed) and what looks to be a "screw driver brake" on the left side, for lack of a better term. I've fished baitcasters before (on a limited basis) but is definitely an adjustment on the left side of the reel. It's a silver, almost like screw adjustment with numbers around it. I plan on leaving it alone for now, but was wonder what, when, why I would adjust it.

Posts: 668 Location: mercer wi | The screwdriver slot is how you take the side plate off. The dial around screw head turns to make adjustments.

Posts: 861 Location: NE Ohio | the knob on the cranking handle side is the spool centering tension knob. don't over tighten that one.

Posts: 77 | Maybe I don't know what I'm doing? I thought you set the knurled knob on the crank size so that your bait barely falls when holding it in the air. I'm just not sure what's up on the other side, it clearly has different settings.
