Posts: 87 | How are people mounting their bowmount on the tuffy esox mags? The front access panel is too small for me to reach the through bolts. My only option is to cut out the front panel and make a new panel access panel with aluminum. Thanks in advance!

Posts: 16632 Location: The desert | I don't have the mag, but I taped tools to pieces of hockey sticks to get in my 1890. A little more room to work than you probably have, but the front few bolts were at the end of my arms length.

Posts: 251 | When I had mine it was mounted left of center. I am not sure if that will help or not seeing that I didn't install it. Usually a 2 person job.

Posts: 265 Location: Manitowish Waters WI | I took my nose section right off and mounted a quick disconnect bracket. Its not that bad of a job drilling out the rivets and putting it back together with screws. You can take the end caps off the rubber molding and pull the rope out to take a look at the rivets or screws depending on the year. Just remember to run a bead of silicone after you put the nose back on to keep waves from pushing water in from under the lip. Edited by esox1980 7/25/2017 8:24 PM

Posts: 265 Location: Manitowish Waters WI | I'm not the original owner of the boat and knew the previous owner already had taken the nose off, same with the back quarter panel with gauges. I have a feeling it was originally riveted. Obviously it is all screwed together now. Maybe Steve knows the answer to that question. I have also sent Tuffy emails with questions about my boat and they have always gotten back to me with answers. Good luck

What's a screw in port? This: http://www.overtons.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?pdesc=Twist-N-L... Screws are fine, rivets don't ever back out. Make sure the screws are stainless. If you sent in a question to Tuffy, I bet I answered it!
