Posts: 390 | Had a fish throw the hooks boat side, sat there for a second (felt like hours) then rocketed into the net as it was being pulled out to the water! Anyone ever have a fish come off that still made it into the bag?

Posts: 2017 | Yep, several times.. I've had them luck in and luck out.. my Buddy and I just had this happen last week on the last spot of the week right at sunset, he hooks a nice high 40's fish that is headshaking like crazy.. comes off 4' from the boat... I reached the big Kahuna all I could and she balances on the edge of the net for a second, flops in.. only to swim away before I could fully scope.... Would have put the icing on a good week.. win some lose some

Posts: 119 | Seems like everyone has their own crazy net story(s). I once netted one that threw the bait whilst almost jumping in the boat but I scooped her before she hit the deck and just laid her in the water gently. On the other side of the token - we had a fish in the bag unpinned but also unmeasured/unphotographed who decided she was breaking out of her twine prison and went airborne, never to be seen again. Those are two of my favorites. Edited by River2Stream 7/17/2017 2:17 PM

Posts: 2335 Location: Chisholm, MN | Haha! Yeah, I had one get off at night right next to the boat. I was by myself and had the net in the water ready to go, so when she popped off and just laid there I figured I'd scoop it. Not sure if that one counts or not...
