I fished the Mad Chain on Monday for a few hours with nothing to report. Weeds are dense but boat traffic was denser. Heard a good concert though. Water temps were right around 70 and the air temp was 75 or so with no clouds in sight. The forecast looks as though the weather will be partly cloudy with high in the lower 80's. I fished in Vilas county last Sunday and couldn't get much moving. They just don't seem to be biting anywhere. Sorry for the glum report but I've had a pretty glum august. Good luck!
