I use power Pro for casting but wanted to try out the Spiderline Mono for my trolling reels. Anyone out there ever use it?

Anything from spiderwire I run from, to many bad experiences.

I think what the other folks are trying to say is that SpiderWire does not have good shock strength.  Give it a good snap and you've got one too many pieces of line.  Maybe a bungee cord as a leader might solve the problem!  The lower poundage stuff also tends to dig into itself on the spool.

I love spiderline mono for bass fishing. Its smooth and strong. I've only used 8 and 10 lb test though.

Get some flourocarbon for trolling. It's very abrasion resistant and has the shock value you need. I use stren flourocarbon in 20lb.
