My guess, and only a guess is to create a panic, sell out the old lures and then when they redistribute again there will be another rush to get new ones. Kind of a marketing thing but I could be way off.

I’m guessing that anyone qualified to answer that question won’t be doing it here. But IMHO I love to see businesses fail when they change hands. Especially when a company with no manufacturing experience buys a company and think they can solve their problems and save costs by moving the work out of the U.S.A.

so far there has been no official comment made on any of the websites that I visit regularly. I do think that's proof of poor marketing! You should at least inform your customers of the reason of all these supply problems. The only thing that keeps coming up, is this: the business has been sold again and will move to another place. Whether this is true, i don't know but it keeps coming back on all the forums

About two weeks ago i sent them my topraider to get it replaced because it was broken. They said that they would replace it. Last week they emailed me and said that they would get back with me within an hour or so. Its been a week now and they have still have not got back with me. Right now i have no idea what is going wrong. If Joe was still running the company everything would be going smoothly.

Sounds reminicent of what was going on when Rapala bought out Storm. Now the lures that I used to love, I wouldn't take if you gave them to me for free.
Glad that I have a few of everything, because I'll be hanging on to them.

I heard a rumor, an unconfirmed rumor, that Joe is going to buy Bucher Tackle back. Anyone else hear anything.

I sure don't 'love to see' this sort of thing. Remember everyone, so far all we have are rumors, anything can happen. Maybe Bucher Tackle will sell,  maybe dissolve, or maybe re-appear.

If you go to the Muskyhunter board Tom Dietz has his explanation of everything he knows.

Looks like Bucher Tackle has enlisted the services of the same public relations firm as Hughes River. Why some people spend good money to buy a company and then run it into the ground is beyond me. I like my Top Raiders okay, but I've still got my Hawg Wobblers, and they seem to do just as well, sometimes better. There was an interesting article on Terry Mouldry, his Hawg Wobbler and other lures in the last MI magazine. He sounds like the type of guy that we should be buying our lures from.
