We found a thich 47-9 inch fish floating near Big Isle the other day. It had been dead for a few day but was clearly a nice fish.

Some times good release intentions just go bad as Stuff just happens.

Still its a good time to remind ourselves that water temps are now hovering in the 80 degree range. Keep the battles short as possible and minimize handleing time to enhance the fishes chance at survival after your release. Especially keep the fishes head submerged as thats the part that breathes.

It appears that the Metro bite is finally heating up with the weather, good fishing.........

Good reminder. I released one a couple of weeks ago that seemed to go down but came back up and showed me her belly 2 times. I went back both times and worked her some more. She finally stayed down. I was scared that I might kill my first musky. It could have went on the wall (45 inch) but she finally seemed to stay down. I stayed in the area for quite a while after that to be sure, I sure hope she made it.
