I bought a 2011 boat with a 150 Mercuy this spring and the tilt & trim seem awfully loud Compared to my older Honda. I tried to add guild but ended up with a puddle on the driveway. I raised it all the way , added guild and when I lowered it all the guild I put in came back out

Was I doing something wrong on adding fluid?

Fill with proper fluid to bottom of the fill hole when it is all the way up. Put the plug back in. Lower and raise it a couple of times and recheck fluid level when motor is all the way up.

thanks I guess that explains the fluid coming out I thought it was supposed to be left off to bleed any air bubbles.
