Posts: 20281 Location: oswego, il | I sold 30 large baits for the leech lake fundraiser at the MN swap meet. I was wondering how they worked and if there were any problems, I had not made any like them before. Any feedback is apreciated. You can post or e-mail me @ [email protected]

Posts: 5874 | I'll let you know in about 2 weeks! Sorry, Todd, but I have not used any of the ones you made special for me and the kids. I will up on LOTW, and I am confident they will help me boat some fish. Thanks again. We really need to get together sometime, and fish!

Posts: 1023 Location: Lafayette, IN | Todd, You'll have to forgive me for not knowing the names you use to refer to different baits you've made. I've only hooked up with 1 fish (orange Buchertail) so far this year and had maybe 10 follows. One of those came on the inline with the paddletail minnow and silver Colorado blade over weed tops in about 10' of clear water. I was moving it right along because of the water clarity and sweeping my rod tip to it's widest extreme to create direction changes. I suspected that the less time they had to look at it (in the clear water) the more likely they'd be to hit it on a reaction strike. The "8" didn't produce and I didn't see it on subsequent casts. I'm tossin' em though. I really like the big orange twin tail with the giant Colorado. Vermilion had some cloudier water on the Tower end and I used it with it's greater "thump" and contrasting black/orange colors. No takers though. A black bucktail and a firetiger Bobbie bait produced our 2- 32" pike which were the big fish for this trip. Oh well!... Still love those TM tails though! Thanks again. p.s. when we goin' fishin', Todd ?.... huh?
