Ran across the attached post card in my collection. A classic picture of what NOT to do! Note the guy is standing on the back seat of a very unstable boat without a life jacket on while wearing a heavy coat! DUH!

Gee no trolling motor, no side imaging graph to mark the waypoints,no 250hp motor on boat the back to run from spot to spot. I wonder how the caught that fish in the 1st place. Maybe it was the 10,000th cast. ??

Would that be a good rod for heavy rubber?

That's Jim Thorpe and Jim Thorpe didn't need a life jacket. Jim Thorpe was the #*#*.

key to Muskie fishing success; where a suit or at least a nice vest. Joking aside, thanks for posting the pic.

AMAZING!! A pretty nice fish caught WITHOUT $150,000 worth of gear and necessities! And they probably ATE it!

Certainly don't need $150,000 worth of boat, gear and necessities to catch a muskie. Any child's Disney themed bait caster with 8lb test rigged with a hook with a worm on it, a sinker and a bobber...while fishing from shore...is all that's needed. Priceless.

Willow poles were the rage at the chicago musky show in 1913. People lined up at the both waiting for hours to get one. Half of them showed up in street markets for twice the price.

It looks like they tried to blur-out some landmarks in the background too...old trick lol.
