Posts: 64 | That's a great setup. I use a 9' TI XXH with a Toro Beast HS61 for those same applications. Handles mag medussas and dawgs perfectly. Check out the TI rods if you get a chance. Highly affordable, amazing quality, lifetime warranty with no questions asked. Not knocking Chaos rods, just never tried one.

Posts: 72 | Got my shock and awe last August put it thru its paces with my Lexa 400 with hundred pound braid on Claire and a bunch of fish and it is awesome picked up the 400 HD too can't wait to use it. Chaos and custom X are awesome with their customer service for their baits so I'm sure any problems with the rides will be addressed the same way. Good luck hope you have an awesome season.

Posts: 32886 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Get a TI. James helps keep MuskieFIRST online, donates thousands to Veterans groups, has a great product with a great warranty, and you can ask him anything you want to know right here and he will answer you. Not so much with the other brands.

Posts: 4053 Location: Land of the Musky | Love for you to buy a Tackle Industries TI XXH or even an XXXH but you will not be disappointed with a 9'6" shock and awe rod! If you have the money the SC rod will serve you well too. All three of these rods are super light and great durability. Enjoy. James

Posts: 1209 | More lobbing ability on casting, more line pick up on hook sets or jigs especially in the wind, but less strength to fight a fish unless your young and strong.
