| When your re painting a manufactured bait say for example a jake, hellhound or a believer how many coats of epoxy do you finish with over the paint. I use water based paint (createx) and didn't want water getting at it nor ruin the action of a bait with to much epoxy layers |

| Epoxy kills some of the action, I would use auto clear, just started using it. Works Very Well

Location: Probably Minnesota that time... | Really depends on the bait you are doing. Lots of options, I usually do a couple coats of enviro on them. I don't see it killing any action. Some baits I put less on, some more. If you want a cork to remain a cork, do one light coat, but know that your paint job will only be protected by what you put on top of it. |

Location: Morgantown, WV | You can thin devcon 2 ton epoxy with denatured alcohol and get a very thin coat. I've done that on a few crank baits and it seems to work ok. The sides of cranks and gliders get rashed very quickly regardless of what you do. |
