I think the maxcuatro is a thinner diameter.

Thinner Diameter. The 100lb MaxCuatro is a tiny bit thinner than 80lb (regular) PowerPro
I used the 100lb last season, really liked it, no issues.

How well did the color hold up? Any fraying or noisy line?

Not impressed with this line at all. I "had" it on my Curado and even after breaking the line in, you almost have to pay attention in order not to backlash. I ended last year with a backlash that was all the down to the backing. Not sure what the deal is, felt sticky almost with the coating. Wasn't impressed, plain and simple after a year's use.

I have a few reels rigged with cautro. I put the 65# stuff on a NACL 60 hs, LT Longranger, that is used for lighter, smaller muskie lures. That set up works really well. I have a NACL 50 5.3, that's spooled with 80# and is used mainly for mid-sized safety pin style spinners, works great. And a lexa 300 with 80# paired with a lipstick for throwing cranks. I really like the line and haven't noticed the bleeding, wasn't noisy, held up great. It's nice on the smaller reels to be able to get more line on the spool. And when throwing lighter stuff it's great to have a thinner diameter line with a good poundage. I wouldn't hesitate in purchasing it again.

I spoiled up my jigging reel with it last year and really liked it. Didn't notice any color bleed, knots felt way more secure, a lot less "fuzz" and fray than the regular PowerPro. Feels much stiffer than regular PP. my jigging is really just dragging a tube on rocky "Niagara River" bottom, which is sand, gravel, rocks, and zebra mussels. I was able to recover 75% of snags by going up steam which was twice if not three times better than with anything else. Ended up swapping my casting reel to it after I kept loosing lures due to a line break in the spool mid cast multiple times
With regular power pro. Much more durable and less prone to fray. Noticed Jigging that it does have a tendency to really dig into the spool because of the thin diameter. After a snag with drag locked, it'll bury itself pretty good; but seemed to hold up. Regular Power Pro will dig a little less; but lost me $100's of lures because each backlash ment it was bound to fail whereever there was a V.
I'll definitely run it again this year; despite hearing multiple great reviews on Cortland Masterbraid.
