What are the biggest muskie baits made?

I know of the 2 pounders and mamoth curly sues but any others in this league?

How about biggest gliders, jerkbaits, and cranks?

Regular production, I consider bulldawgs jerkbaits but as far as gliders I know smitty makes a 15 incher I think it might be 17. Biggest cranks probaly talonz deep threat (21" model). Suick has some large thrillers. 14 inch jakes. Legend plow is pretty big. Lip locks.

As for me, I'm working on my own special project hehehe. I'm thinking a cowdussa style lure but instead of a dussa I use a 2 pounder with double 20 blades in front of it. Now that sound big right there but I'm taking it a step further. I'm going to take this two pounder with double 20s and rig 5 of them up like a Alabama rig. Don't know what to call it so let me know if you come up with a good name. Now I just got to mount a small crane on my boat to cast and retrieve it lol.

You have the 16 inch line thru trout from savage gear that complements the 2lber and mammoth sue nicely when it comes to rubber.

For bucktails, try to contact muskie safari, they will make you a bucktail with size 20 blades.

For crankbaits, the 21 inch deep threat is the biggest i know off that is produced, although some custom 22-25 inch baits have been produced in the past.

For hard swimbaits, the japanese do produce a few custom big swimbaits in the 18-24 inch size range.

Tackle Industries still makes 16" and 17" jointed Grunt lures.

For big paddle tail soft lures, boggs has a 15 incher, wolfcreek has a 14 incher and the giant mc rubber from swartzonker is also 14 inches

The biggest production Jerkbait that you can buy with any regularity is the Musky Buster Intimidator its 14" inches long and Its 8 ounces. The Suick is 12 inches and 4 ounces weighted. I picked one up just this year. I noticed the tailfin has some thickness to it, really looking forward to trying it.

If anything like the 12 inch be sure to up size the hooks and keep an eye on the wire leader. Some friends have lost the lures after not a lot of use. I would consider 150 lb flourocarbon or even hard mono leader material. To me the lure is more suited to trolling

Personaly, I directly replace the leader with a wire leader that I assemble myself, I have no faith in any factory made leader.

As for increasing the hook up rate, i intend to use the line thru modifier sold by savage gear to inprove the position of my hooks on this bait.

When Chuck owned Custom X he would make a 21 incher as a special order bait. It was around $125 as I recall...It was a few years back...

Its big but not huge. A bit shorter and a bit lighter than a regular Pounder
