How is the performance on the internal gps for the HDS Gen2 units. Already own an external puck with an older LCX unit and know that it could be hooked into a gen 2 but wanting to know if its really needed or can sell with the older unit.

Mine are pretty accurate I feel. Mine are mounted on ram mounts and have nothing obstructing the top of the unit (antenna). I would sell the puck with the old unit.

Mine is flush in dash and works great no extra needed unless you want a heading sensor for when your not moving more than .2mph

I've had HDS units since they came out and have never had an issue with the internal GPS.
