| I have an old wooden Pacemaker that has bad hook rash. Approximately 2 out of 10 casts end up with the hooks fouled up in the areas with rash and the bait spinning in the water. I can't fathom the idea of throwing it into the parts bin. What do you guys recommend for repairing this? |

Location: SE, WI. | SImply put a rubber disc around the shank of the hook to keep the tips from sticking in body. OR cut a half inch off the top of your mogambo grub bodies and push down on the shank!!! Problem Solved! JD |

JD- that's an excellent idea. Very simplistic. I was going to suggest some sort of sandable filler material but that idea you have I may put to use on some of my Leo's |

Location: Waukee, IA | You should let the bait dry completely then fill the holes with epoxy or superglue. This will both seal the wood and act as filler for the holes/gaps. Superglue won't fill the gaps as well but it's an excellent sealant |
