Posts: 13 | I used sharp scissors to cut it to length holding it close to the cut with the free hand. Then I used a lighter and ran it in circles around the cut edge 4-5 times staying about 1/4"away. You will see the it melting and moving back sealing it together. Worked really well. I then rolled the reel side 2-3 times and used needle and thread to knot it. I used heat shrink on the tip end. I folded the end over to have more material for the heat shrink to close down on. | ||

Posts: 132 | An idea for cutting it would be to heat up a putty knife. They're thin an can get the right width and should heat up quickly. If I were going to do this, I'd give that a try. | ||
