Location: WI | I feel it really depends on the intended use of the reel. The best reel for burning dbl 10's may not be well suited for working gliders. With that said, my next reel will probably be an Okuma Komodo SS 364 to be used for jerkbaits. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | This is a common subject, and it always comes down to brand loyalty and what you intend to do with the reel. There is no 'best reel', actually. There ARE plenty of excellent choices for your preferred technique, and all the brands qualify in one way or many. |

| In my opinion, the best all around reel was the gold Calcutta 400 TE. Why they ever stopped making them is beyond me... |

At 31" per crank burning bucktails will be tough |

| 31" per crank makes burning tails tough? I realize its not a Tranx...but 31" is still pretty dang fast. Shouldnt have any issue burning bucktails. |
