The George Wahl tournament was the exact same weekend last year. Tonka is on the lake list for that tournament, has the date changed for 2017?

This is a problem. Why did the DNR allow 2 Muskie tourneys on the same days ?
Hopefully something can be worked out.

I suppose this will be "thin soup" for those who are unhappy, and it's no opinion on the matter either. It's just a reminder that the PMTT championship allows only 35 boats. It's not the 125 boats you will see during a qualifying event. And, I fished Tonka the last time we had a PMTT championship there and 35 boats don't make a "dent" in that monster of a lake. Those who know me or have read my posts, know I'd prefer 52 events per year with never having to choose between events, it just doesn't happen. And, OBTW, the last one there was on a perfect Indian Summer warm and sunny day and the ladies taking in the sun were to die for. For the non-fish-catching guys like me, it provided lots to do and enjoy besides just feeling bad about no muskies. You take your pleasures where you find them in life, and I suspect we can all have a good time on a lake that big this fall. Naturally, my partner will have to catch me a fish to get there!

So whoever wins the PMTT champ on Tonka could potentially win the Geore Wahl tourney as well!? Wont be me, but a guy can dream right?

I don't think there is limit to entries for the Wahl tourney. But it is also not exclusive to Tonka. There are a bunch of metro lakes you can choose for the Wahl Tourney.
