Subject: Who catches their own bait?

Hello,
I was just wondering who catches their own bait, and what types. I cannot seem to find anyone that sells anybaits that are large enough to fish with, where I live. I was thinking of starting to try and catch my own, chubs or suckers, but I am not sure exactly what to look for to catch these guys? Was hoping someone could give me some input? Also I think I might be able to catch some shad with a cast net, has anyone used this as live bait and if so how long can they last in captivity? thanks

I used to do alot of seining when I was younger. Mostly small minnows, shiners, chubs and small suckers. Check out some creeks and small rivers. Clear ones if you can find them. They will have a good sucker population. You will get some surprises too. Small gamefish, crawdads, ect.

Kly, I forgot to ask, where did you get your fish if you don't mind my asking? [email protected][;)]
