Shimano TDR's and Diawa sealine. About the best you can get for the $.

A heavy fiberglass rod like the one stated.above, okuma, bps and cabelas make good ones. Diawa sealine, okuma convector or coldwater reel will work.great and get you under 200 with a good setup

Use the search feature for this topic, plenty of info to comb through.

You should be able to get a TDR and Shimano Tekota for close to $200. If you don't troll a ton and don't run big, hard pulling baits, the Daiwa's are tough to beat for economical trolling reels. TDR's are the best rods for the price though; I have yet to find anything that's $34.99 that even comes close.

Shimano TDR + Okuma Magda 30s. Buy two combos for that $200 burning a hole in your wallet.

The TDR's aren't too light for muskie lures?

8' TDR Heavy and Okuma Coldwaters for me. Handles everything from super shad raps to 12" headlocks.

I run 16" baits on TDR's with no issues at all.

Heavy power? Is this what you use?

I run big baits on 8" heavy rods and everything else on 8'6" Med heavy, but I haven't noticed much difference between the two.
