| Has anyone made any Lipless lures with good success in the size of around 6" and up. Just thinking of making some for this summer. Was there any problems with weight placement.

| I have a couple mass produced lipless 8" cranks. They are heavy plastic saltwater baits that can troll at 8 mph without blowing out. I dont recall the brand but possible i guess. |

| Check out the H20 Barbarian if you want a good large rattle bait. |

| H2O has some really nice baits. I am thinking about making one out of wood and when I get all the bugs out I will go to plastic with rattle. I know it will change when I go to a plastic one but it should be close. 8" longĀ that should be a challenge. I would think 1" wide would work.

| I helped a company called Double A Lures. They make saltwater lures that are crazy. You can tow your boat with them. When we were testing them I had my boat on plane(14mph). Don't need to troll that fast for muskies. Greg (owner) made many different models before he got it right. Getting one to run the way you want is one thing but to duplicate it is another. He is a perfectionist and has some expensive equipment to duplicate and we still had problems. He has it down now and sales are good. Not to discourage you but I would stick to lipped baits. Much more forgiving. You can have a lot of fun with just trying different lip styles, size and angles. If you want to try something different. Try making baits for Muskie feeding on inside and outside of the weed lines. |
