Location: Des Plaines, IL | What's the word up in Mad City? Are the weeds any better/worse? I was hoping to get out in the next week or so....any news to report?

Location: Madison, WI | Hey Karen, Weeds are thick and after a weekend of boat traffic the floaters are terrible. Was out a short time this past weekend and had a screamer that missed my bait near the boat and then was gone. Peter |

Location: Madison, WI | Muskie have been fairly active on the chain. Stuck a 44" pig on Monday night 15 minutes before moon rise. Last Saturday I caught a 36" along with a nice pike and raised 5 more skis. I've been seeing most of my fish on the weed edge but did hook a couple trolling deeper water last week. Floating weeds make trolling and top water fishing a challenge. Weekend boat traffic is not fun, I'll be heading north in two hours:) Good luck on the water!! |
