8" wood blank, fairly soft wood. Weighted along the centerline to enhance roll and flash, tail added to try and prevent excess roll and spin. Rare earth magnet added to belly to capture trailing hook so it doesn't entangle forward hook if lure is cast. Won't know how this lure runs until the lake thaws.

I agree. I'll probably give it to a friend of mine who fishes for tuna in Mexico if it runs properly.

That's standard lure tape, I think you can get it from Norisada in thinner widths but I Googled lure tape and found a site where it came in 4" wide rolls which I need when I can get my hands on Mag Shad blanks. I just checked my files to see if I retained the site in my "favorites" but I failed to do so. I think it's called "snakeskin" or something like that.
