Posts: 146 Location: Shawano, Wi | For guys that have the new revos what has been the reel handle setup that you have found to be the best for these reels. I have a beast 60hs, revo toro rocket, and a revo toro s 60. The revo toro s only has one handle with power handle that it came with which im fine with, but the other two came with three handles. Also the jigging handles have three places to seat the real in. So you have 5 different variations you can have. At the moment I have them both with the jigging handle on it where it is seated in the farthest square to give me a longer power handle. Just looking what other people have found to be the best setup for these reels.

Posts: 735 Location: Apparently where the Muskie aren't | Jerkbaits, glidebaits, topwater, (maybe even small buck tails)= paddle handle Everything else= jigging/power handle in the farthest setting Paddle for anything that requires you to quickly pick up slack line. Jigging handle for anything that gives a lot of resistance. Awesome with big blades. That's the way I decide what I'm going to use

Posts: 146 Location: Shawano, Wi | so for the rocket you would recommend the paddle handle for like bulldawgs and medusa's? is there a reason that the power hand wont pick up line just as fast or faster than the paddle handle?

Posts: 494 Location: midwest | I like the power/jigging handle for blades (same as Musky Mo16) and double paddle handle for everything else. You can reel quicker with the standard double paddle handles in my opinion when needed to pick up slack and for moving low resistance baits. The reason for the power handle is to provide leverage against resistance like larger blades. That has always been my understanding and how I choose handles for all of my reels.

Posts: 735 Location: Apparently where the Muskie aren't | Like slime king said the power handle is for getting power on high resistance baits, so if I were you I would use the paddle handle on the rocket because of how fast it is and use it for your gliders, jerks, and top waters. You could use the power handle and burn smaller bucktails crazy fast but once you get into double 10s it gets extremely difficult.

Posts: 146 Location: Shawano, Wi | I have a tranx for the heavy resistance lures like 10's

Posts: 239 Location: Madison, WI | I really like my komodo 471 with the oversized paddle handle. the handle shaft is long enough that you can pull in 12s with them even though it has almost 38" per turn. makes for a very versatile reel

Posts: 1425 Location: St. Lawrence River | Just go out there this spring and change them up.. hard to say what you will like. FYI I don't dare go more then the middle hole on my jigging handles because I don't want to risk a premature reel engagement.
