Why ? Eight years of punishment and aside from having Pikemaster pimp them out they perform better than the day they came out of the box.

They will be my "go to" reel until replacement parts are no longer available, but I'm also interested in looking at the Tranx 401 when it released this year.

I've used a lot over the years and have settled on the Tranx for the big stuff, and the Beast for the small stuff. Smooth casting and reliable. That's my main reason.

Curado 300 for jerkbaits
Revo S for smaller crank/twitches) and tail rotating topwaters
300TE for weagles (yeah, in hindsight a rod/reel just for weagles might have been overkill)

anyone using the 13 fishing Concept A3 reel...has 30lbs drag holds lots of line looks sweet but have never used or seen in person
