Posts: 1220 | As always, I sort of like to watch the results of how many fish are caught in an event. In this case it sounds like 22 guys fished nine hours and caught 1 fish. That's 198 man/person hours for that single fish. In the PMTT championship two weeks ago 70 guys (presumed pretty decent sticks) fished 15 hours for seven fish. That's 150 hours per fish. I find this so interesting because these are cases where really careful track is being taken to keep an accurate account. Not exactly on par with a guide telling you he had 30 fish in his boat this week. To me, it's important to point out this musky thing is a lot harder than folks think. Selfishly, it's what keeps me from duct taping a rubber hose from my mouth to the exhaust pipe on my truck.

Posts: 1209 | Yeah I like hearing the hours per fish as well I can't remember what it was at the musky shootout on leech but last year was like 75 and this year was 120? It's sad cause last season I alone was at a fish per 12 hours ad some to dad and friends and we get it going. This year I'm like 200 hours per fish. And I have 1 fish. Haha crappppp.......

Posts: 140 Location: Northern Illinois | Hey Junkman, thanks for the laugh, I could use it this year. We had a terrible year, last year we did pretty well. I think things average out, and a lot of musky fishing can be chalked up to pure effort and some good luck. LOL. Boat bubble wrapped today & on to gun season and then ice fishing. Thank goodness.
