I got my first fish of the season on Sunday. I was throwing a "6 phantom, got a good solid strike, and set the hook. The fish jumped high out of the water three times on the way to the boat. We both thought something looked kinda strange about the way my phantom looked on each jump. Got her in the net, and found out she had only my line tangled in her teeth. no hook or leader anywhere near that fish. She was a thick 35" fish that fought like a 45. Somehow I still think that PETA would find something wrong with it.

Yeah, they would try to find a way at least! LOL on the "new" method.

Congrats on the first of the season!
