Posts: 2691 Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | Mikie and his son John rolled into town yesterday afternoon. I got out with them around 5pm and his cherry was splattered all over my boat by 6:30. He was so excited and yet handled the job like a old pro. John caught a 27-inch walleye about a hour later. I think they like it hear. Congrats mikie !!! We got out this morning and only had one small fish on a crank bait off a weed line. We started to troll and had two fish on but none in the boat. Shep is going to get out with him tonight. We are chillin now, to hot now to fish. Smelled like bacon in the boat so we took a break. I added two of the three fish we caught the two nights later. Mikie and John were havin some fun for sure. 4 muskies and a big walleye is a great vacation, how can I top that mikie?? 50 incher??? See you in August. Posts: 2361 | Congratulations MikieMuskyMaster!!! Triple M indeed! Knowing how tall Mikie is and the angle of the fish and deflection of sunlight by gravity at that particular lattitude I would estimate this fish to be slightly under 40lbs.

Location: Athens, Ohio | Thanks, Steve. It was Mr. Koepp that did all the work; I had as much fun seeing my son get one, pretty amazing to get three fish in one night. What a blast to fish with Mike! I really appreciate your help and advice, too. m

Dang, haven't had any action from the 2 legged variety either... But, that's another list. Way to go pal, Papa Joe

| Congrats dude! Only wished it could have been w/ the Maus and I sooner...been on vacation and didn't see this until now. May there be MANY more to come! Since we got that camper, no doubt we will be checking out Hungry Mother; supposed to have some major wallies in the lake and 'skis too. Will let you know if so...:O | |||

Location: Athens, Ohio | Sponge, if you're gonna be in the Marion, Va. area, there's a trout farm (read this:pay pond) just south on the Interstate a couple exits. I'll try to dig up the name for ya. He's got two ponds just loaded with big trout, a real hoot for the kids to catch a whopper and have a blast. He'll even clean them for ya. Now, I always thought "pay pond, no way", but for what Va. wants for out of state license and stamp I came out ahead. And, with a freezer full. I'll look it up for ya. m

| Would it be Rural Retreat by chance? There is a dude up that way, about 2 hrs. west of us that has a pay stream, and has some humongo trouts up to 12lbs. or so. There is a troutoid stream at the bottom of the hill from the hootch here, but rarely catch any larger than 4-5lbs. Great place to fish in the late fall/winter when the yuppies put their stuff up and sit around sipping wine and passing out!:O | |||

Location: Athens, Ohio | Yeah, Mike, I've been waiting a while to finally put up a fish picture, and me with a 2 oz. gilly just didn't seem fitting. I hear there's even more fish than this in your lake. Me and Mauser are coming up to find out, "fishing our way to Canada" as he said. I spoke with him Friday night and he's thrilled we get to come fish with you. Sponge, place is called Flamingo Springs. good deal. m
