Gregger,

How was the trip with Jo? Did you leave that big girl alone for me next month? C'mon, loosen up with the details!!

Hey Shep I fished with Gregg and we left her alone but Joe did look for her but did not find her. Gregg and I had about 2 dozen follows each from about 40" to supertanker size. The Big girls had lockjaw and were getting more aggressive by the end of the week, this week should be a good one up there. Gregg can tell you more.

Never made it that far west, furthest Roger and I got was crooked foot and going into Stony.
Wayyyyyyyy too many pig sightings east of Splitrock to spend time over there hunting em.

I believe JoMusky did go over there, something about a new rock formation in the shape of a middle finger has now been constructed on the "toothless" rock spot hehe.

Frustrating week to say the least, had so many fish going, NICE fish too, round and round they go in 8's (4-5 times), wouldnt open their mouth..pitch back diff baits/colors/angles.....nadda eater.

Keep thinking back to what we could have done..more tiger tubes?? dunno.

We saw the most and the biggest fish of the group, we were throwing 90% glides. Biggest fish came out of less than 6' in the bright blazing calm water sunlight. Some nice ones too off rock points, but the 2 supertanker sighting were shallow very near or in the weeds.

Doc and Phantom was my go to fish see-er, Roger's was his X-glide and ripper.......very nice baits that will definately get some water time the rest of the season. Tried downsizing to undertakers and small rippers, didn't see the fish, they came out slow following the bigger baits.

they wanted slowwwwww, speed lost their interest on follows, the best luck from the group was very very slow moving small bucktails...so slow you got snagged in the rocks a lot.....that accounted for 6 fish, biggest being 44". Roger and I stuck to the bigger glides in hopes of finally getting a fat girl to eat.

Humbling to hear of the record fish caught at the MH school the same time we were up there, and a 50.5 and a 51 being caught in the same areas we were fishing the first weekend...we just couldn't convert em....oh well, found a great new partner, had a real good time with the whole group and learned the address's of some future slobs that will hopefully grace the net.

pst....Oh Leonard....NICE TOSS!!!!!! hahhahaha

Hey Greg,

We're heading up there again this weekend. I think I need to bring my maps and pen to league tomorrow night. Boated 5 fish back in WI while you were gone.

See you at league.

Sounds like a great trip! I am really looking forward to the August trip MuskieFIRST has up there, hope the piggies get an appetite by then.
