Location: Elroy, Wisconsin | Just to be on the safe side I use hair and tinsel. Tinsel on top of hair flares like nothing else I have tried.

Location: Twin Cities, MN | I am sure I am old fashioned, but the first thing I am throwing for a bucktails is a Ghosttail. When I want to switch up, I change to a marabou tail. |

Location: North of Sweden! | I use them, almost exclusively, favorite being a combo of bucktail and marabou, where I will tie the marabou at the coil closest to the blades, gives a very nice effect in the water and a nice presentation!
+tying them in that fashion gives them a bit better "weed guard" where the stiffer bucktail will "protect" the hook a bit... |

| I fish one lake that a single tail harasser can't be beat, don't know what it is. I also still like fishing Vibrax's and dream catchers. I also caught my first tiger on a hame-made creation of Bucktail and rabbit zonker. In my experience, Bucktail performs at any speed, slow, medium, or fast. Tinsel is okay at medium and does best burning. Marabou is the king for slow-rolling. Just my experience. |

| I don't use anything but my hand tied hair buck tails. I don't have anything against tinsel or marabou, but to me deer hair looks the most natural. I don't personally think the fish care what material its made out of...if they are hungry they are going to eat it. I like to make buck tails where I tie a coil, and then I tie a treble hook like a mepps. With double 8 french blades the treble rocks on a pivot creating a very cool looking tail through the water. I have had musky go nuts on it. If I use bigger colorado blades I have to shrink tube the split ring and treble because the vortex is so much is actually sucks the treble up backwards towards the blades. |

Location: Florida | Hair bucktails are great lures for Muskie fishing. I bought a couple during my vacation in Illinois and plan on using them for Bass fishing in South Florida. Wont be surprised one bit if you guys have caught big bass on these hair buck tails while fishing for Muskie. |

Yup, plenty of bass on bucktails, and #*^@ near every other Muskie lure I've thrown. Think maybe the only ones I haven't gotten bass on are pounders and monster dusas.
Nice, whats the biggest bass you have caught on a Muskie bucktail? I might fish one this weekend for bass. |

| Somewhere in the 20 inch range I would guess. Couldn't tell you for sure as it's usually just a "darn, that's a nice bass". Next cast. |

| 22 inch fall fatty! About 6 pounds. A couple other 20 inchers too, but skinny post spawn fish. Biggest SM too, on double 10s in the slop... Have no clue about length, other than big, as it was the last night of my first trip and I hadn't caught a musky yet, so I shook it off... DUH I did get a 44"er off the same spot on a hawg wobbler after I turned around and went back over the spot. |

| Bass fishing a few weeks ago I was getting rocked, no fish!! I then out of boredom took out a yellow Muskie harasser with single blade and dual trebles "hair" and then bam 2 casts in 6#er, wasn't repeatable but heck saved the afternoon for me. |

Location: Almond, WI | Hair still works fine. Musky Buster Bulgin' Bucks are a favorite of mine though not being made anymore. Stuck a 49.25" solo fishing in September on one (managed to dislocate my left index finger and lose my rod balancer and butt cap over the side in the process).
I also throw a lot of marabou and think it has the best action. But they all work.

Sounds like it was a hard time getting it, all the minor mishaps, but, in the end, looks to have been well worth it!!!
And, yeah, I agree, marabou has a kinda unbeatable action to it!!!
haven't ever seen the Musky Buster Bulgin' Buck (name alone is just pure awesome!!!). Is there any chance you could upload a photo of it? Just out of curiosity!
