Posts: 3156 | Not the type but the actual brand name 'steelhead gloves" I've heard their the bomb!!! The difference between dacron and braid, the smart tv technology, before and after becoming a hair club client!!! On other net boards people rave these things stay dry ALL day long no matter what. At $75 a pair hoping to hear some reviews from those who have them??? Yes I've got ice armor.

Location: Contrarian Island | I used mine a bit this weekend.. they stayed dry.. only flaw in them is they are NOT insulated or warm by any means in 35 degree temps...so I wear a thin 'glove liner' as well underneath them... so maybe opt for a size bigger than you wear would be my recommendation w the liner underneath

Posts: 335 Location: Pulaski, WI | Are you talking about Kast Steelhead gloves? Run small. The XL cut off circulation in my fingers. Tried to contact customer service but never heard back from them

Posts: 44 | Great gloves, been using them for four years. On my second pair. Very dry till they start to wear. I thumb the reel and poke holes with hooks, so they dont last forever I use liner gloves under mine when it gets really cold and they work great. Call them for sizing. The customer service was very helpfull for me. Ryan

Posts: 42 | By far the best gloves I've owned. I have terrible circulation in my hands when it gets cold and these gloves at least keep them completely dry. I usually wear and XL but bought the large instead and they fit like a glove ![]()

Location: Grand Rapids, MI | Great glove. I never get cold hands until it gets below freezing or windchill below freezing. These have been perfect for me and since there's nothing for the water to soak into, because it's not a glove with a liner, they're much warmer than an insulated waterproof glove.

Posts: 7083 Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | I have delicate little paws (ie. my hands get cold like a normal human being [versus Steve and Will]) and my review on the Kast Gloves is that they will keep you dry, but not help with the warmth. I plan on wearing glove liners (check out the ones from North Face. Not too expensive and dry quickly) under them.

Posts: 8828 | I have wuss hands. Tried all sorts of gloves. Anything is better than nothing. They all leak, they all keep you warmer than you think (take them off when it's 37 and raining) but I have yet to find a glove that doesn't suck in some way. Too bulky, too leaky, not warm... I've had the best luck alternating pairs of neoprene gloves and swapping liners throughout the day. Those eventually leak, nothing stops the water from running up your arms when you cast and back into the gloves when reeling. I'll be trying Andrew's approach as well. Envy the guys with sausage fingers...

Posts: 1023 | I started wearing cheap cotton liners with surgical gloves on top. Works amazing. Just swap out if they tear or get wet. Cheap and effective.

Cheap and effective. X2 works great, I'm always amazed when I feel my "work" gloves that are over my surgical's and they are soaked, but my hands are dry and warm.

Location: Grand Rapids, MI | Not related to the Kast glove but could be used with it. While wading winter rivers steelheading I've gone without gloves on mornings into the teens by placing a disposable hand warmer on the inside of my wrists.

Posts: 410 Location: Wakefield, MI | I have a pair of Kast Steelheads and like them, as others have said not the warmest but dry. I was worried about wearing the thumb through so I bought one of these https://www.amazon.com/LEATHER-THUMB-GUARD-LARGE-Made-USA/dp/B00A6OX... I haven't had any problems with it coming off yet after 5 or 6 days out. I am thinking of making something that works a bit better but until then this is doing the job.
