Location: Athens, Ohio | Spoons like Daredevils and red eye wigglers are popular, also bucktails. I liked to trail spoons with pork. uuuummmm: pork rinds! Dang, it's been a while since I've seen a northern pike. Is there a PikeFirst.com? m |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | 6" Slammer Crankbaits and Undertakers on the reefs and in the weeds, and spinnerbaits in the thicker stuff. Bring along a selection of bass sized crankbaits and pitch them along the sharper breaks on the stones for both 'eyes and pike. |

Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | In northern Saskatchewan last year this same time the pike just hammered Rat L Traps (A musky lure if you fish the Cave in the spring). A chrome 3/4 and 1 ounce trap put a bunch of big fish in the boat. 6" twitch baits and the Dancin' Raider also performed quite well. |

Location: Holly, MI | A one oz firetiger took this pike (pic below)from up in Quebec. Also on the trip the most productive lure for our entire group was a Tony Accetta spoon. You don't want to go without a couple along. Get the size "17" Tony Accetta "Pet" spoon in white (pearl). I had a hard time finding it in Michigan and ordered it from a Saltwater online catalogue from the east coast. The spoon has a couple of yellow feathers hanging off the back and a single up-facing hook that is screwed to the spoon. It has an incredible wiggle and is Very weedless because of the single upturned hook. Single hooks sink deep on hooksets and are easier to remove also. The 1 oz red eye wiggler as mentioned is also a great lure in brass. Get the one with 2 hooks not the weedless one tho.
I hope my Quebec fishing buddies don't see this post about the "pet" spoons. Try 'em and let me know -lobi
