What are your guys thoughts on this...I have 5 musky rods and want to make sure i USE RIGHT RODS FOR RIGHT BAITS...

have 7ft to 8ft6inch any where from medium to xheavy what do you guys suggest for specific baits...baits I mainly use are these

big spinner baits few types
bucktails
double showgirls
invader raider
suick top water
savage gear duck top water small and large
regular sized bulldawgs
big soft plastic no real weight in weeds usually use the 7ft for this
grandmas 9"
jakes 6"
quick strike sucker rigs
Wanna make sure Im fishing correctly and learning as much as possible to give myself best shot at success so trying to get everything in order for rod setup
Thanks guys so much out there on this wanted first hand experience from experts

big spinner baits few types - 86 xh
bucktails - 86 xh
double showgirls - 86 xh
invader raider -86 mh-h
suick top water - 7-76 mh-h
savage gear duck top water small and large - 8-86 mh-h
regular sized bulldawgs - 86 xh
big soft plastic no real weight in weeds usually use the 7ft for this
grandmas 9" - 8-86 mh-h
jakes 6" - 8-86 mh-h
quick strike sucker rigs - Not familiar with sucker fishing

Just my .02... To me it's a comfort factor and being able to work your bait - some may incorporate different setups than I may for the same application...

I typically look at the lure weight displayed on the rod blank. Then I take the lure I want to cast and grab a rod that has the rating that the lure falls between.

After some time on the water you will make a decision based on personal preference if you like a softer tip for figure 8's or a stiffer tip. At first I preferred the stiffer medium action tips but now I lean more towards the softer fast action tips on my 8's.

Best way is to try them. I think many times it can be a personal preference thing.

I don't care what a blank says, I know what the rod needs to do in the cast and hook set. And sometimes as I wear on a 8'6" xh it turns into a h.... Just make sure each rod to lure loads up good on cast and has enough back Bone to set the hooks. When you get it right a gas of 80% effort will out do a 110% try with the wrong lure to rod combo.

I think people over think it but meh, to each there own. Seeing the info for each individual rod instead of just saying they fall xyz range would be helpful.

Another tip: get a balancer. It helps a lot and is virtually a must for any rod over 8'6".

For what you have listed, I'd slap the Beast on the 8'6" TI and use that for nearly everything.
I'd use the Mojo for jerks, gliders and wtd topwaters.
Both your 8' rods should be good for dbl 8 bucktails or smaller and topwaters.

Thanks for input but I dont throw lot of huge baits biggest is a medusa or regular bulldawg I use the tackle industry for that but use the Beast on the ST. Croix Legend series Rod I love that rod but use the TI rod second most for sure along with mojo
