My best Lake X Lure is a reverse loon Cannonball Jr., I've had two days where I caught doubles on it.

Being of limited sight........many of my topwaters are white, Lemondhead TR and a reverse loon fat bastard are two of many that I do well with. Also had a Linda Rice signed TR reverse loon that also did well with.

Remember color is secondary and action is primary.

White has the most contrast for a surface bait during the day.

Without getting into the science - in the water, looking up on a sunny day, the background (sky) is violet/purple.

White has the most contrast.

At night, in the water looking up, the sky isn't black. More of a gray. Black has the most contrast at night.

The old saying still holds true. "dark days (conditions) dark lures, light days (conditions), light lures"

ABSOLUTELY! I've caught some big fish on white surface lures. In fact, I like white so much that I just bought a reverse loon pattern in one of my favorite musky lures. I used to subscribe to the theory that black was best at night, but I've caught so many muskies at or in the dark on different colored surface lures that I question just how much better black is on dark days or at night.

Jeff; this turd is clean on both ends, and yes, these two White baits accounted for multiple fish!
