Posts: 161 Location: Chicago, IL | No matter how far down I bog the drag on my NACL, it still slips with a fairly easy pull. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to fix this? Open to replacing the drag system- any suggestions on which to use? Thanks, Kevin B.

Posts: 1828 | Have you (or someone else) taken it apart for cleaning or anything lately? I ask because the first time I did my Revo Toro, I put the drag washers back in backwards. I think I did them like this ( ) when there were supposed to be like this ) ( and the drag wouldn't hold. Replaced them correctly and it was back to normal.

In addition, if there is excess grease on the carbontex drag washers they can slip. Or they may be old and worn and should be replaced.

Posts: 548 Location: MN | I've been using a layer of electrical tape as a base on my bait casters for years. Never a slip. But in all honestly I did experience the slipping. Only takes once to never do it again.

Location: Latitude 41.3016 Longitude 88.6160 | What happens a lot is the AR Bearing will get pushed out to far in the frames sleeve and keep the Drag AR sleeve from being pushed down. Could be a lot of things ?? The Toro has Carbontex Washers and 4 drag springs, one of the Best Drag Systems on a reel.

Posts: 767 Location: Ames, Iowa | I took apart and cleaned and oiled/lubed my best abu reel before my late June Leech trip and had problems with the drag. Turned out I misplaced 2 of the 3 stainless washers in the drag. I put the toothed stainless washer where I ought to have put the plain round stainless washer. Took another reel apart to see the difference, then switched em. Fixed.
