I'm familiar with Boulder Junction and Manitowish Waters but would like to change it up this August. Looking for suggestions for lodging in Saint Germain area for myself, wife, and 5yr old son with good beach and accommodations that won't break the bank. My wife doesn't really care too much as long as the little dude is happy and occupied. My son is a little more than typical BALL OF ENERGY BOY so looking for a place that he can go nuts running, digging, jumping, throwing, climbing....I'm getting tired already! I have no problem lake hopping but a cabin on a good family fishing friendly lake would be great. I'm normally 100% cpr with all species but he wants to catch clean and eat his own dinner so quality panfishing would be nice.

Thanks all,
Jaimy

Fibbers! No need for another post after this one.
Rob is up to date on what's going on the water and typically more than helpful to put you on fish.

I second Fibbers and Rob Manthei, great spot great guy/guide.

If he's or the lodge is booked, try Fawn Lake lodge - Owner's name is Jerry Barr. It's on Fawn Lake which is connected to Big Saint by a short channel. It's a small place with three cabins overlooking the lake, old school but clean and well kept. They have a clean shore beach and kids play area including an old deck boat for kids to play on. It's also about 150 yards from Sister's saloon/restaurant....

Got my First Muskie from the Fawn Lake dam back in 1982 while staying there

The same family is still running it (stayed there two years ago)

PM if you want Jerry's contact info

Location: Already Gone
Jackson's on Little Saint is also a very good choice.
