Hello all, hope everyone is having a good year. Myself along with another Vet are putting together a Veterans fishing trip this weekend on Alexander. I fish the lake quite a bit and have had great luck in the past, but this year I have been blanked three times in the last two weeks. Quite frustrating. Not looking for spots but has any one had any success there lately? Just a general shallow, or break lines and what method. Three of the guys going have never caught a Muskie yet. PM's are fine if you don't want to put anything in here. Thanks in Advance for any help.

Another vet named Bret Wold (sp?) is in your area and fishes Alex a fair bit. He used to come on here too so maybe he will see this and chime in.

Spent a bunch of time out there this year and it's been a struggle at best!

That lake has VERY clear water which tends to make weather all the more important. Classic stuff like overcast clouds and/ or big wind is basic, but it can really make a big difference in your ease of fishing a lake with high water clarity.

Thanks Rilley. I have hit it hard lately. I cant believe I haven't even moved a fish. I know they killed the milfoil so I am thinking it pushed to fish into different spots.
Brad, they lake is a little dingy right now. not as clear as it usually is. weird thing is even with clear water you can almost always move fish there. that's what is frustrating this year. Thanks!

I fished Alex hard for one year and found that later in the season it really turned on. I had a difficult time out there in June and early July. Just keep at it and good things will happen. My profile pic on here is a 52.5 from alex at 3:30 in the afternoon with no real weather influence happening at the time (that humans can relate to). It was, however, during the major. Caught on a Bigtooth tackle Juice in the green lantern color pattern.
