So I'm not going to start the classic "headed to mille lacs next week where are the fish" instead I will say this:

I have never fished mille lacs in fact if I have never fished anything even remotely close to this size and type of Lake so here it goes. I'm wondering if someone knowledgeable would be willing to give me a small rundown of what a typical yearly pattern is for this lake at any given time of the year, for example where would be a good starting point at different times of the year what depths and structures historicly have produced for you or others at different times of the year?

If I were to go tomorrow where should I start deep? Shallow? Rocks? Weeds? All of the above?

I'm open to PMs and would actually prefer them.

Thanks in advance for anyone willing to help me out!

I've never fished it personally but do know some guys that do a yearly mid summer trip there. All I know is they fish strictly at night and throw pounders and big blades. Not much help I know but figured id offer what I had.

Find Cabbage during the summer, fish rocks in the fall. Guys have spent a lot of time trying to figure out mille lacs. And the ones that have keep a tight lip. The nice things about technology these days is its pretty easy to pick out spots that look good quickly. Develop a game plan the night before and play the wind.

Its a beast of a lake. They can be anywhere, rocks, mudflats, weeds. Best advice go out there and give it a try.
