| I've always fished big dawgs and starting to try some medusas but seems like they want to roll over during erratic retrieves. Is there an easy mod to fix this or am I over working the bait?
Thanks guys |

Location: Detroit River | Bend the head down slightly & that should help with the bait rolling. |

Location: SE Wisconsin | That's odd, it's hard to get a Medussa to roll unless you're ripping a Mini too hard, otherwise their balanced extremely well. If your rod is weighted real heavy and it's lengthy, like a 9' XXH, and you're ripping a mini or micro, it's certain to roll because it's too much pull for such a small bait. Boatside takes some practice, though, and I could see the bait rolling if you have it on a short leash. I typically leave several feet of line out when I get the bait to the boat and use some slack in the line when I redirect the Medussa, as opposed to the traditional short tight leash you might keep on a bucktail when you draw circles at the boat.
Watch the first part of this video to see what I mean. I rip the things hard and you'll see how I do my boatside strategy with a Dussa: https://youtu.be/cVJ8zQ_lsc0 |

| I have around 10 medusa's of all sizes and every single one rolls. Ive tried the bending head trick and that didn't work. This year im trying downsizing the rear hook because I think the hooks getting tangled in the tails is what causes mine to roll. |
