My brother and I are headed up to the Petenwell Flowage for the first time this weekend to fish in the Wisconsin Musky Challenge. He's looking for his first musky, so I'd love to help him get one while we're up there.

Anyone willing to share tips for this body of water at this earlier stage of the season? I'd certainly appreciate any insight.

Thanks,

Dan

It'll be cold; it was 56-60 on Point Flowage yesterday so I'd imagine Petenwell is about the same. Fish shallow, no big secret there, look for warmer water--sloughs, inlets, the dam.
