Do fish patterns in small lakes follow similar trends as larger lakes as in MN and Canada? Let's say in a 200 acrea lake, I can see how they would migrate to certain areas during spawn but after that I think they would roam much of the lake rather than staying close to spawning grounds as often stated. I doubt that they know how big the lake is but anyone have any ideas on how lake size affects major seasonal movements?

they would try and adjust their environment to similar light intensity, oxygen content, and cover situations as in the biggest lake but the fish in small lakes only have a limited number of options. they are easier to fish because of this.

just because you change the nature of the lake doesn't mean you change the nature of the fish(qualified by using similar genetic material)
