no matter where I have ever fished, Minnesota, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, Canada, I bring 2 rods.....both the exact same rods...9 ft xxh or 9'6 xxh heavy...1 rod is all you need....but I bring 2 just in case something happened to rod #1.

Jonny, I can not get adequate casts and action on a 9" suik, a pounder and a dbl10. Let alone gear ratios making the equipment work for me, not me work harder to get the same results...
