Has anybody used or heard of anybody that has used composite wood for trailer bunks?
I need to replace my rotted out, wood trailer bunks.
They only lasted five years!
If not composite wood, what would be the best option?
Thanks,
John

Saw a guy at the launch last year as he was loading his whaler. He had HDPE plastic

Do you need to carpet these plastic bunks or is it okay for your boat to rest directly on them? I have an aluminum boat.

I talked to a buddy, and he said he knows a guy with a Nitro 21 footer, who has 2x4 composite wood boards, for his bunks.
The guy loves them! He said his boat slides off and on, like a dream.
He will never go back to wood.
He put stripes of carpet on them, so it has a little more grip on them.
Doesn't leave any marks on boat.
They are expensive, but won't rot out.
I thinking on using them on my Crestliner 1850,
