How often do you guys retie your braid to your leader .

Depend on two factors How much I fish with that rod and the weight of the lure. Heavier baits are thrown the line gets tie more frequently retied.

If the leader is a direct tie then I use a double uni-knot i.e.: braid to fluorocarbon. If it's braid to a swivel then I use the Palomar knot. I tie at the 1st sign of wear, fuzziness, or with the leader marks from teeth.

I usually check my knots and the last few feet of line before each outing. If either is looking fuzzy, I cut the line and re-tie. Cheap insurance.
