Location: north central wisconsin | I plan to start using bulldawgs a bit more, as a few guys I know have been pushing me to use them as they say I'm really missing out. I own two bulldawgs, both motor oil, but one has an orange tail, both standard size. I plan to do quite a bit of experimenting with them in open water and was wondering what your thoughts/comments were. I often catch myself fishing beneeth the fish, and I though I could work one high to get the dsired effect. Anyone care to share a tip or tow on retreive style/favorite technique? i would think the motor oil would work in the clear with the orange tail even, but is there one that I really need to buy for this application? Thanks for the tips, Jason |

Location: Lafayette, IN | Troll it higher than the target fish. However, if you are casting it in open water over a known pod of bait fish then cast it past the school, let it sink below them, then retrieve it and hopefully pull it up through the baitfish so when they bust up the only thing in the following musky's sight is your dawg. Always figure-8 it too. From what I've been told by "successful " anglers (no need for any editorial comments concerning MY success rate!) over 50% of the caught fish hit it on the 8. Good luck and keep us posted. |

Location: north central wisconsin | Moved a few fish on Dawgs this past weekend, but could only hook/ catch muskies on my jerkbaits. i was able to convert on a few of the followed dawg fish though. What is your favorite retreive style with the dawg? |

Location: oswego, il | Jason, you could work them fast and keep them high. No bad way to work them really. Chad Cain is a good person to ask bulldawg questions. I hear he can make them pretty erratic in the water. |
