What would you do? I have 2 rigs. The first is a 7 1/2ft H fast action rod with an ABU C3 I use for bucktails (7's and 8"s) and smaller topwaters. The second is an 8 1/2ft XH medium fast rod with an Okuma Induron I use for larger topwaters, rubber (no bigger than mag Bulldawg) and occasionally a double 10 slow rolled. Now I have been given an Okuma Komodo 364 and as much as I would like to add another rod, it's not in the cards for now. So one of the reels will move to back-up status. Both of the older ones are in great shape with low hours on them. What are your thoughts?

Thanks!

I'd get a shimano muskie rod- they can be fairly cheap, and put the C3 on that.

Agreed. I have two of the "Sojourn" series. Not a bad rod for $50. As I upgrade (did buy a TI for this season), I will use the Shimano rods for sucker rods.

Thanks guys. I'd really like to get a third rig but it's hard to justify with the amount of fishing I do. Plus my wife has a hard time understanding why I have two now For now I just need to figure out which reel goes with which rod and which reel becomes the backup. Right now favoring the Komodo on the 7.5 ft and Induron on the 8.5.

Bring all three with you when you fish and try them out to see what setups you like best.

I'd probably put the Komodo on the 8'6" and the c3 on the 7'6. I wouldn't put much backing Komodo so you could have plenty of 80lb test line.
