Troll the edges of the points and bars. Big fish are suspended at this time and can be taken with large Jakes and Slammers. Cranks will work also.
Use planer boards to get you baits closer to the structure while fishing the edges with cranks.
Silver/black worked the best but don't rule out natural colors like perch and sucker.
Casting at night is a great choice. Cranks, minnow baits, bucktails and top water will work. I like the bucktail for night fishing. Use a small slipbobber knot 2 foot from the leader, when you hear the tick from the knot, start you figure 8 and hang on.
